As announced last Saturday, this week’s and next week’s editions feature all tracks recorded by Johnny MEEKS at the time he was Gene Vincent’s BLUE CAPS’ lead guitar player.

Today, you can listen to the 20 tracks recorded by Johnny (and Gene) during various sessions in 1957. Next week, we’ll do the same for the year 1958. As a reminder, Johnny MEEKS passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2015.

Before and after this “Johnny MEEKS / Gene VINCENT special” (which will start at about 30 minutes into the program), you can hear a mix of Texan rock and “black jump” from the great years.
